Responsibilities

  • Assist/perform sleep studies according to established policies and procedures under the supervision of the department director and clinical supervisor.
  • Perform all necessary exams and maintains documentation to ensure timely accurate results of procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients about the procedure to be performed in order to obtain information and to offer reassurance.
  • Clean, sterilize, and dispose of equipment to maintain a safe patient environment.
  • Demonstrate ability to work in different age-specific patient populations while promoting the organizational patient safety program

Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPGST), or Respiratory Therapist (RT/RRT) with SDS certification within 1 year.
  • Must obtain CPR/BLS prior to providing patient care
